This is for the Wolfxchange over at LJ. This month I had Talakestreal's character, Nikura to draw. She is a shadow elemental wolf who's fur is supposed to be like rainbow obsidian that reflects various colors just like the stone does. Hence, why there are little bits of blue, pink, and purple mixed into the wolf's fur. She also has penchant for shiny, bright colored things, so I tried to incorporate that theme into the pic with the glowing crystals that she's trying to get a better look at.

I used a pastels for the background. Ink and colored pencils for the rest.
